Colores del Mundo is a video installation that consists of flat screens modified with neon text.
These are built into the screens and illuminate them from the back so they superimpose the displayed videos and creating a layering.
The installation began in Bogotá 2019 and was completed in 2021.
Neon signs are ubiquitous in colombia, as they are all over the world, in store windows and on facades, shaping the cityscape at night.
The lettering displays the words “Fuego,” “Aqua,” “Aire” and “Tierre” in different colors.
In Greek mythology, these are the components that make up the world.
